Major Fleet Upgrade: Enhanced Compliance and Communication in MarRest

The MarRest system has been updated with several major improvements aimed at strengthening compliance, communication, and transparency across the fleet.

Infraction Validation

A new infraction validation system now alerts captains immediately when a suspected rest-hour infraction occurs. Captains can review and validate the infraction or correct the related work log if it was caused by an incorrect entry. Once an infraction is verified, that day becomes locked for further changes, ensuring proper documentation.

Digital Signatures

Crew members now digitally sign their monthly reports. Once signed, all captains who have worked with that crew member are notified. A signed month becomes locked, and the signature is automatically reflected in the monthly report for transparency and traceability.

Seatime Report

A new seatime report allows captains to verify that each crew member has sufficient seatime to qualify as part of the safety crew. This report can also be printed and manually signed when required by administrative procedures.

Work Hour Statistics

A new work hour statistics page enables crew members to view their total registered hours per week or month. The page also allows cross-referencing of hours across different vessels, groups, or ranks for better insight and fairness.

Messaging System

The new messaging system improves communication throughout MarRest. Users now receive notifications when shifts are changed by a captain, reports are signed, the system performs automatic actions (e.g., auto clock-out), and more. Each message includes a direct link to view and confirm the related changes.

Privacy Policy

A new Privacy Policy has been added to clarify the rights and obligations of all MarRest users. It outlines how user data is handled and strengthens trust and transparency within the system.
